Modeling and Optimization of HVAC Thermal Storage in Commercial Buildings

In this project we are developing OpenStudio measures for different energy storage technologies such as ice tanks, unitary thermal storage systems, etc. These OpenStudio measures are now in the Building Component Library (will provide link) and will also be part of URBANopt. We are also developing an optimization framework that allow us to optimize the size, location, and operation of thermal storage in a connected community.
