Neighborhood-scale demonstration in rural Colorado

Is it possible to electrify an existing community all at once? What compounding benefits arise? Partnering with the Colorado Energy Office, Energy Outreach Colorado, Xcel Energy, and a local community in Colorado mountain country, we are investigating

1) which mechanisms are conducive to broad acceptance of electrification,

2) the quantification of holistic benefits from electrification, and

3) controls to maximize community and individual efforts.
