Laboratory and field characterization of ponderosa pine mass timber envelopes

Timber Age Inc. uses one of Colorado’s most abundant pines, Ponderosa Pine, from forest thinning operations to develop cross-laminated timber for residential buildings. In collaboration with the Forest Project Lab and with a grant from the US Forest Service, we are characterizing the hygrothermal properties of ponderosa pine CLT and measuring its field performance.
